I'm not much of a pc expert, so I've come to you guys as my last resort!

Let me throw this out there, my pc is still fairly new, maybe 4 months or so old. And It's a good computer, it's not supposed to lag generally, especially when I have no tabs open, and I'm on my desktop.

To describe my problem: My computer is suffering from massive amounts of lag, the mouse is laggy, the sound is slow and glitchy, programs are generally slow to open. This happened after a windows critical update for windows 8.1.

System properties: http://gyazo.com/1236f81f1e25061d86ccd12defa6b68e

Everything I've done so far..tells me I have no problem -

+ I ran full systems scans using norton
+ Cleared files and trackers
+ Anti- Malware scans
+ Hard drive status is fine

So this has led me to think that the update was to blame,

Although I'm not sure how to reverse it, since when ever I try to system restore, I try to restore from the point where i installed the update, but I keep getting an error message. - http://imgur.com/T5Z1D9I

Please help! This is a fairly new computer, and I'm running out of fixes :(

Thanks you for your time and help!

I'm having the same problems. My computer is just under half a year old. I've tried updating video and audio drivers but to no effect. This only began after the Windows 8 update my computer went through on Saturday. Glad to see I'm not the only one!

Yeah glad to see it isn't just me..
Should I just wait for the next update maybe?

Windows came out with an update that I had to do manually. If you were having the same problem as me just go into your PC settings and then go to Update and Recovery. Check to see if there are updates and download/install them.

I´m having the same issues aswell. Everything was working fine and then I recently updated windows and now I have problems with lag and electronical dusturbances during audio playback. None of which was present just a few days ago. My computer is only 3 months old. I´m a bit releaved to see that I´m not he only one :)

Are y'all using Dell computers by chance? They published an update to their Dell Support software in February that caused these sorts of problems.

Otherwise, you can use System Restore to take your computer back to a state prior to recent updates. OR you can uninstall Windows updates from Control Panel, Uninstall a program.

Hi!

I´m using a HP.

I did try some different approaches but in the end I had to uninstall some recent windows updates and now all issues are solved. Not optimal but I´ll wait a couple of updates and hopefully it will be solved when I start doing all updates again.
