Hey, first time posting on Tom's :) I'm looking to put together my first gaming pc since the one I built in 08' just died on me. I've been doing a bit of research and put one together on part picker but I'd like some knowledgeable ppl to take a look before I pull the trigger. Also worth noting that I'm from Canada which throws some of the prices off.

I'm aiming keep it around 1500, lower the better if you see cheaper options. Then again of the price goes up to make it more future ready or worth a small price increase for performance I'm willing to field the idea haha

Any input would be great, thanks!

Is the 980 worth the boost in price? From what I've read the performance boost is small compared to a 970, especially when you can throw a second 970 in for a bit more than one 980? And is 16gb of ram worth it for mostly gaming and movies? Alot of posts I've read say 8gb is a good spot to be at for gaming, especially when it's such an easy part to upgrade?

I like the look of the build tho, the power supply, board and tower knock the price down a bit. I hadn't come across that case when I was looking, have you used it before? Just wondering how the airflow is, or if there's room for a cooler?
