All together i am looking at around 1000$ for the rig. I would like to say that i do want to build a pc that can handle playing games pretty nicely. I think whats most important to me is for it to run smoothly > It looking absolutly gorgeous but hey if i can get both why not. Games would include World of warcraft and league of legends. If i can get any advice on if this can work or if there is somthing better out there for a better price then that would be fantastic. I would like to stay though around the 1000 range plus minus 100 dollars. If i can be even less then great and i would like for the computer to be able to handle most things for the next 2-3 years at least.

The i5 4460 is cheaper, and you are unlikely to notice the difference, a H97 motherboard would do. Do you need WiFi, or Bluetooth?

The Corsair is a good entry-level PSU, but I would try something a little better.

The XFX p1 550 would be plenty for your needs and a lot cheaper, and the EVGA B2 750 is better, somewhat cheaper and semi-modular which will help your build.

You do not need more than 450W or so for the build you have put together.

Wifi and Bluetooth are not needed. The pc is going to be located right next to the router. But that being said Wifi i think at some point would be need i think but for that i believe that i can buy an adapter to just plug in.

Actually, it shouldn't even be considered in my opinion. A FSP 750 watt beat the cx is many tests....

You can, or a pci-e card. The ASRock H97-ITX/ac board (the one in my system) costs $119 and includes WiFi/Bluetooth.

A compact mini-ITX system would work for your components. (I like compact systems)

you have a Z97 board which is used for overclocking or SLI, but do not appear to be doing either of these things.

I happen to agree with you, but choose to use gentler language. The CX is an OK tier 3 unit and the OP is not going to do anything extreme with it.. However, as I pointed out, they can get much better, cheaper units.

This is the sort of thing we are talking about.

Still needs some bits like OS, screen, keyboard/mouse.

Memory is CAS 9, so costs a little more.

I think for the most part that what i was most confused on. Im not familiar with what power supplies so i needed tons of help on that. That being said, im also confused on what kind of case i would need. From what im guessing most cases will work but i guess there are certain cases that can only first certain parts?

Go to PCPartPicker.com and set your nation to Canada and the sandbox your system. It will warn you if the parts don't fit properly (most of the time),

The XFX I suggested is very good and will power everything you have.
The motherboard has many features that you do not appear to need. You can save a lot there.
The CPU can be made a little slower for a modest saving.
Your RAM has a high latency (CAS11). I would want CAS 9 or better for faster speed.
For a Gaming system like this, the limiting factor is nearly always the GPU. Our object in tuning your system is to get the best possible GPU, you can't quite afford :). In this case, our target should be to save about $160 to afford a GTX970 if at all possible.
By selecting a mATX motherboard, you have maximum case flexibility.
Find a cheap case that is well reviewed and that you like the look of.

Even with 2 x SLI/crossfire there is still a lot to be said for mATX.
