Hello! Proud new owner of the ASRock 990FX Extreme9 AM3+!! Though I have run into an issue, I purchased the Sapphire TRI-X OC R9 290X 4GB to go with my new build. When booting up the computer I keep getting the d6 error, can't read the VGA. I have tried the other slots and its still a no go. I decided to try an older card, a Gigabyte 9770, and it runs right through and stops at error 99, but doesn't make any beeps. Going to try and actually connect to a display and see if that may be the issue, this has been an issue in the past with other cards. Just wanted to know if the fact that the card is technically newer tech than the board, if perhaps I need to run and install Windows with an older card and then install the Sapphires drivers before using the sapphire card(this was suggested to me by someone else)? Or could it be a BIOS issue? Thank you in Advance!!
