man....., Im worried about something. I just noticed mine cx 600 isnt v2... also, its more then 1 year old. and after some ageing on that might be on tight timing for a 780ti.
After kinda knowing this, I started searching for a new PSU and found really few options and right now, I would be spending something around in those options:
780ti(zotac AMP!) + PSU (700W) = 366$ + 133$ ~= 500$
970(gigabyte g1) = 533$
What would you say? Does 30 bucks worth for it? here Im paying something around 0,16666$ per kwH. A difference between those would be 105W which after 9.5 hours would add 0,17$ bucks on my bill. saying that, 30 bucks would be really quick to reach it. Is it reaaally worth?

Full actual spec:
gtx 760
i5 4670
H81m-a
2x 4gb ram
HAF XB EVO
CX 600

Solution
Kinda. The 970 should be cheaper if i am not mistaken, but once you oc it, it becomes marginally close to a 780 ti. and beats it in many tests

Suitable graphics card chosen for your case, you can still go with the Gigabyte G1 if you wish. The power supply is more than enough for this build, actually overkill but great one for the price.

Even with more then 1yo? As far as Im reading about that, after all uptime my pc had, its kinda on tight timing. With the 780ti the consumption would be 480-510W. That said, the 600W is getting lower performance over and over which would push me into a new PSU right the way or really really soon. (Im too scared from PSU issues.)

All reviews shows that for 1080p the 780ti is still better for some good margin. Also the AMP! looks pretty solid on all reviews (or isnt it?)

How do you get to those numbers? Looking at reviews do they not go over 400watts in games, even with furmark.
If you want a new psu fine,it's up to you if you want to be sure, just saying.

Every PSU calculator Ive found on 90% tdp (which is usually the measure) gave me that feedback :3

Yep, I know. My only worry is about the price for each as I posted. Its 33$ different between those and I guess I cant trust enough my more then 1yo cx600 for this 780ti AMP (which is highly oced).

I guess that the best option would be 970 exoc from Galax or 970 g1 from gigabyte and later get a decent PSU. It has more headroom I guess.

If you are gaming at 1080, then you are absolutely overthinking things. Consider the GTX 960 4GB before stepping anywhere close to a GTX 780Ti, GTX 970 or GTX 980. They are very powerful cards, but if you aren't gaming at 2k resolution or on multiple monitors it is way overkill. ...for that matter, the GTX 960 could still be considered overkill for some 1080 applications. The GTX 960 would also be your lowest on power consumption.

1080p = 2k

GTX 960 is okay for 1080p but not great.

GTX 970 is perfect for 1080p higher than 60 fps, up to 120-144 fps.

Better price/perfomance ratio than the GTX 780 Ti.

WTF, all reviews from the cx600 are more then fine from a mild build without any sort of OC. even on overload. My build isnt getting anywhere near 450W and the PSU is proven to reach 650W easly Oo
coming to the 970 would be even less power. 30W less lol

I found a nice deal on that 780ti. also, considering that for you guys its 350$ and right now a dollar is 3,22 in my country, 533 isnt a bad price LOL QQ

The GTX 970 promises roughly the same performance while it is more efficient than the 780 Ti. It's a no brainer actually. No clue why you are still aiming for a 780 Ti.
