What options do I have if the hard drives are full (RAID 10)? Should I replace all disks?

I'm using thunderbay (4 drives: 3Tb (each drive)).

The RAID controller is of the Mac Disk Utility.

Solution
If it is RAID 10, that means at least 4 drives. You would have to research your RAID controller to determine if you could add two more drives and extend the volume. Otherwise, backup and create a new volume.

Thanks! It is my first experience with RAID.

If I backup it, I should replace all drivers for create a new volume? Is it what you said about backup?

First off, I have almost ZERO Mac experience so I may not be the best to help.

I would recommend you update the title of this thread to mention MAC and thunderbolt. It will attract a different group of people. I assumed this was either a standard desktop PC or server.

But, from the little I know about thunderbolt, you could just add another enclosure to the chain and build a new RAID volume.
