Multi server and DNS rasberry pi

I have been thinking of hosting my website on a rasberry pi. The server seems like a fairly straight forward process but I have a few other questions. First, how would I get a hostname ( like XXXXXX.com) and setup a DNS server? Do I need to host a DNS myself or what? Next, can I host multiple websites? I am looking to host mine and maybe some clients websites. Can I do this on one pi or do I need multiple? Could I host a gaming server aswell?

Solution
You can host as many websites as you want, provided that:
- you are on fixed IP address, or use DDNS service which can work as DNS for your domain;
- your Internet service has enough upload capacity;
- your contract with the ISP allows for that

Hosting client' websites on RPi is a joke, isn't it?

You register domain names through an entity like godaddy.com

Do you have a single static public IP address, multiple static public IP addresses or a dynamic public IP address? Depending on what you have for public IP address(es) determines what you do next.

@Alabalcho brings up a very good point. A residential subscriber agreement from most ISPs prohibits hosting servers. You will need a commercial service agreement.

I also concur that hosting clients on a Raspberry PI is questionable. But, I guess if you disclose what you are doing it is up to the client to decide if you are the right person to handle their business.
