Hi,
I've noticed for quite some time now tha 32-bit application install are taking extremely long to install on my Windows 7 64-bit OS.
The install program seems to be stuck for some reason and then suddenly, after some time (could be over 1 hour) it continues and completes within a normal time frame.
the process seems to be waiting for something, but i have no idea what it is;
Any suggestions ?

Next time it happens look at task manager or resource monitor to see what seems to be using the most memory. It could be your A/V, your firewall, or just a slow connection due to your ISP or at the site you are d/l'ing from being busy. What kind of programs are you trying to d/l?

Hi,
thanks for replying.
I checked CPU and memory usage, but did not find anything special.
I had the issue now installing office 2013. It took about 2 days (!) but finally came through after a lot of frustration and patience. It is not linked to office install though as I experienced this with previous installs as well. Would like to avoid it for any future installs.
