Hi dear experts!
my system is this:

Cpu: i7 4770k
Cpu fan: Noctua NH-U14S
Mobo: Gigabyte z87xud4h
Ram: 16gb corsair vengeance 1600 (4gb*4)
Gpu: Gigabyte 660 oc edition 2 Gb
Case: Corsair 400R
Psu: Coolermaster 850 silent pro M
Ssd: Samsung 840 pro 128gb
Hhd: Caviar black 640 sata II
Hhd: Caviar black 640 sata II
Sound: Soundblaster x-fi titanium fatality
Monitor: LG flatron E2250V 22''
Os: Win 7 ultimate 64bit
As you can see from above i need a new Gpu, to be honest i have the money but when i was ready to buy the 970 gtx G1 something due to the vram issue hold me back. I don't change every year gpu so I'm very skeptical about it. Also i saw this rumored benchmarks h++p://wccftech.com/amd-r9-390x-nvidia-gtx-980ti-titanx-benchmarks/. My budget is just as the price of the G1 970 may be 50euro more. If the rumored Benchmarks are true at this price point there is nothing like 970 G1 and the 960 ti is way slower. Should i wait a "reflesh" line of 970 with 6-8 gb(with not vram issue)?? Buy the new 960 ti 3gb or go for the existing 970 G1???
Keep in mind that i play on a 1080p and i'm not going to upgrade to something like 4k.
Any opinions will be greatly appreciated!

The "vram problem" is not anything to worry about and it is not a problem. People sometimes make a hell lot bigger issue of something that ain't that big. 3.5 GB of VRam enough for 1080p gaming. I think you need not worry for a year or 2 , maximum what will happen is where...

The last line of the OP says it all. The GTX 970 Vram is a bit of Split hair issue now. Everyone's seems to take a stick at Nvidia. GTX 970 is a perfectly fine GPU. It has no issues with the VRam, until you decide to play Shadows of Mordor or Metro at 4k or something like that. Get your thoughts cleared and buy that beast. 970 G1 is good buy as well.

i appreciated both of you for your opinions but want to be as future proof as i can.i know this is not something to be sure about for the games to come but i want to be as close as i can possibly be.I don't want to buy an Amd card and despite all this poorly and bad way of marketing by Nvidia i still believe the 970 is a good card.I just have a feeling that they might release a new model of it with not this vram problem, the point is i don't have a clue when.

I want to play AAA titles like witcher 3 and I also play CoH(company of heroes), i have seen some people complaining about the performance of the card in older games any opinions about that?

I think you need not worry for a year or 2 , maximum what will happen is where you'd be getting 60-70 fps , you"ll be getting like 40-50. You can never be "future safe" in this GPU business. If your waiting for the Ti version, then i think Nvidia has nothing planned for this year, with the Pascal series chips to be released next year. If your too anxious about future safing your machine , then go for 980.
