ok so im upgrading my pc from a amd athlon x4 450 3.2 and need to no the best choice i can go for performance wise and cost:

Gigabyte GA-H81M-H Intel Socket 1150 + Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz

or

Intel Core i3-4150 3.5GHz + Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3

EDIT: i will we playing games like D3 Ros and Cs-GO thanks

Out of those two combinations, the i5 will outperform the i3 as it has four true cores compared to the i3 which has two cores plus hyperthreading. The motherboard is going to make little difference.

If you list your budget and country it might be there's an even better combination you can get, but if it's between those two, go for the i5.

ok so the i5 looks the way togo then from the posts back but im from UK and could go £170 but im using a site called cclonline.com check it out thanks.

Ah, get the i5+Gigabyte motherboard from there then. You're not going to save anything more than a few pounds trying elsewhere.
