Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus uninstall

Hey everyone! I had a student version of Microsoft Office 2010 professional plus on my laptop, but recently i was given Office 365 for free so i planned to use that.
I uninstalled office 2010 manually through the control panel. But as i started to install Office 365 it gives me an error saying that i have a professional plus 2010 installed, therefore not allowing me to install Office 365. <------ but i already uninstalled everything.
I used the Fix It program and it still doesn't work.
im using an Ativ Book 9 with windows 8.1.
really confused atm. Going to re-install office 2010 again for now.

Open regedit.exe and unregister Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 registry values and remove the values in the Windows Installer keys then reboot your computer. Later, try to reinstall Office 365 and tell me what will happen. I will give more precision about these registry keys when I can but now I can't do this today
