Hi there guys!

My system:
AMD FX 6300 six core
8GB Hyper X Ram
1 Terabyte Hard drive
M5A78L-M USB 3
Tri-x R9 290 4GB (Cause of problem)
Corsair 750w PSU

So recently I made a new pc for my work and I have been having problems ever since. I finally came to the conclusion that the problem lies in the Tri-x. Since I installed the gpu I am constantly getting bsod 30 seconds after boot every time.

Once or twice I managed to miraclely make the pc work at its peak. But the next day when I boot it up in the morning, I get the normal bsod.

I am pretty sure the gpu is not faulty as it works in gpu stress tests. I just need the proper drivers cause I believe that this is the cause of the problem. If anyone can help me with which drivers to install, like the amd catalyst and the chipset one, I think that would help a lot.

If you need some dump files and stuff like that, please tell me where to find them. Also there is no problem with the other components of the pc as I have already checked each one.

I really need this pc for my work and uni course, so I will be grateful if anyone can help me.

Thanks!
Ismail

I am now 100% sure this is a driver issue. After installing the drivers and restarting the pc, I did a Fury 3d and Chinebench stress tests and both got really high scores. Except when I closed Cinebench, I got a BSOD referring to the ATI driver.

Please guys I need this pc as soon as can be, cheers!

screen should not freeze during BIOS. It would not be a windows device driver problem because windows would not be loaded at the time (BIOS setup). are you running the most current BIOS version for your motherboard?

Guys I fixed it, all I had to do was to download an older driver which is the 13.12 one. If anyone has the same problem then just use the ddu and isntall teh 13.12 driver.

Cheers!
