Is this good pc for gaming/rendering

Hey guys im posting here first time. Is this good pc i will gaming/rendering but this pc would stay like 5 more years before upgrading so first heres the specs

CPU : i7 4790k 4.0 GHZ

CPU Cooler : Cooler master 212 evo (not overclocking)
Motherboard : msi z97 gaming 5

Memory : corsair vengeance 16 gb 2×8 DDR3 1600 memory
SSD : Kingston SSDnow v300 series 120 gb 2.5
HDD : Western digital caviar blue 1 tb 7200 rpm

Video card : Msi gtx 970 twin frozor v

Case : corsair 200r Mid Tower

PSU : evga supernova nex 750w 80+ bronze

Opyical drive : Asus DRW 24bit

OS : windows 8.1 64 bit

Sound card : asus xonar Dgd

Total cost $1301

I will keep thid pc for next 5 years so is this good and sorry for spelling mistake im using my mobile thanks

Unless huge steps are taken towards 4k (since it seems it's destined to become the next 1080p) or unless technological breakthroughs happen (excluding DX12, which is likely going to play a major difference in a couple years), you're probably going to be fine with that. 5 years seems a bit too much tho, unless you're factoring in to reduce detail at a certain time (2~3 years from now). That's for gaming at least, rendering should be fine anyway.
