Would be playing battlefield 4 but my RAM bottlenecks the R9 280x.
980 = 8gb
R9 280x = 12 - 14gb

Sorry but what are you on about? Also, why triple RAM? Dual channel is the proper setup and is more than enough. The power supply you've chosen is only for entry level or moderate gaming, for serious gaming setups like this you need a different power supply:

Power Supply: XFX 650W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply (£60.85 @ More Computers)
Total: £60.85
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Okay, now we can focus on the important stuff lol.

- The MSI board you've selected (MSI 970 Gaming) doesn't do well with VRM cooling when it comes to AMD FX8xxx CPU's like this one. If you can't afford a 990FX board, the Gigabyte UD3P is a really good motherboard.
- The Cryorig H7 is a new CPU cooler that promises with better cooling performance at roughly the same price as the Hyper 212 Evo. It's less noisy aswell.

Other than that, it looks like a solid build.
