The old mixing RAM conundrum

Hello all:

I am currently running a DFI LANParty 790FXB-M3H5 with a QuadCore AMD Phenom II X4 Black Edition 965 CPU. I have just upgraded the RAM from two sticks of 2 gb each pc3-8500 OCZ Gold XTC OCZ3G10662G to a Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 1600 (PC3-12800).

My question is: I am running the Crucial at 1333 right now in slots 1 and 2 and I "think" the OCZ gold will operate at 1333. So, would I be better off adding the OCZ RAM to slots 3 and 4 for a total of 12 GB or stick with the 8GB of crucial for now?

Also, I remember back in the days of my Athlon 64 FX systems populating all four slots of RAM lowered the speed at which it would operate. Is there any detrimental effect to populating all 4 slots in my Lanparty system?

Solution
Think the 965 should be able to carry them at 1333, might need a slight OC or add voltage to DRAM and MC (memory controller) (DRAM Voltage and CPU/NB Voltage) - big thing will be if they will even play together and won't know for sure unless/until you try
