Is One 980 Enough For Gaming at Ultra 1440p in Most Games?

I"ll be playing most AAA games (battlefield 4, hardline, far cry 4, etc) and was wondering what performance i should be expecting with a single 980. Also, what single 980 card best suites gaming? I'll be overclocking the card as well so one with good OC headroom would be nice.

Yes. The 970 will even get pretty close. Any of the popular vendors are good ASUS, gigabyte, EVGA, MSI, zotac, pny. They all make good cards try to get one with the duel or triple fans not the reference blower style cooler.

MSI Twin Frozr is a popular one. But I think the overclocking headroom goes to the Gigabyte Windforce.

ASUS Strix is another popular choice, but last I checked it didn't do so well in terms of overclocking.

But getting a good GPU is always luck of the draw.
