I am having a transcend 4GB ddr3 1600mhz in my gigabyte motherboard(H97M-D3H) and am planning to add a Corsair CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9 Vengeance 4GB Single Module DDR3 ram, will both these rams work in unison?

Specs of the corsair ram: SPD Latency: 9-9-9-24; SPD Speed: 1333MHz; SPD Voltage: 1.5V and can be overclocked to 1600MHZ.

Please suggest

It looks like they are indeed playing nice with each other in dual channel mode. So far, at least.

If you mean in the same color slots in dual channel mode, yes. But they may not be stable. That is why dual channel memory is always sold in matched pairs. Dual channel mode is very picky about the memory being identical down to the lot number sometimes.

What if i dont insert in the similar colored slot (dual chnl mode) but rather insert it the immediate next slot to the existing ram?

You'll have less chance of problems, but you will be in slower single channel mode.

Installed the new Corsair ram today and then changed the spd multiplier to 16.
CPU-Z shows DRAM as 799.9MHZ and channel# Dual, I hope I wont face any issues cuz I already tried booting the system for almost 5 times to see if there is any BSOD, none thus far ;)

Thank You!
