USB 3.0 Ports not working on MSI970

Hi guys i have a problem. I have just bought the motherboard MSI970 Gaming edition and everything is running fine. The only problem i have is that the usb 3.0 ports are not working. Both front and back ports. When i plug in my Wd 1Tb External which uses 3.0usb on the ports, my hdd lights up but the computer never sees my external. I've tried on all the 3.0 ports and got the same results. i tried plugging into usb2.0 port and my computer recognizes the hdd immediately.

Do you use the win7? You may not install the VIA usb3.0 driver. Try use the dvd comes with the MB, or go to VIA site to download and install the usb3.0 driver.
If you use the win8, the problem may be the usb3.0 ports have problem, because win8 will come with the usb3.0 driver.

I am currently using windows 7 64bit. I have installed the drivers from the website, but still not working. i tried to install the one from the disc but i think the one on the website is an updated version than the one on the disc.
Edit: Nevermind, after my windows updated it seems like i can use the usb ports no problem now. thanks for helping
