Do I need to install .Net framework 4 on win7 64bit

It may sound a little stupid but do I really need to install DotNet framework on Win7 64bit??
I have just installed windows and dont want to overload my system with unnecessary software's... I believe Win7 already has dotnet preinstalled.. Im not sure.. so thought i should ask..

If you don't install it some programs may not work in the future or even now . Its best to install all of windows 7 updates asap because the os is being phased out for windows 10 its reached its EOL according MS.

Yes, you need to install it. The latest version available for windows 7 is 4.5.2. Some programs will require .NET framework to run others don't.
