I have an A880G+ MOBO and an AMD Athlon II X3 460 CPU. I have been having some stability issues with the computer (see my other posts) and have been trying to understand the complexities of clock speeds and voltages. It appears that there are 2 areas within the BIOS that allow for voltage control in the "Performance" tab

The main menu in the tab has settings for CPU Vcore, CPU NB Over Voltage. HT Over Voltage etc. Then there is the "CPU FID/VID Control" sub menu. Here one can enable custom P-states, and so unlocks the settings for: Core VID, Core FID, NB VID etc. So it would appear that there are 2 settings for CPU core voltage, which would be redundant, so what do the individual settings in each menu do exactly?
