At 1st. When I first googled the statement...(error message...?) I saw an option (link) that said Windows detected a hard disk problem virus. Where is that link now or should I just Re-Google the thing. For I've yet to find that link since I was forced to log off due to life...Do you follow what I'm asking ? Could this indeed be a virus? For INDEED, I was surfing a download and my McAfee said "DANGEROUS SITE, proceed with caution or stop Download.

I did run a full scan and turned up nothing..I clicked on "Don't show this anymore" figuring it'd persist anyway as some notices do. But much to m surprise It didn't show back up. Laptop s running kinda slow, but I really have put this thru the ringer.

Ordinarily that Windows message will pop-up when the system detects a failing disk. If you suspect some virus is affecting the system then download/install the Malwarebytes program and see if that A-V program detects anything.

But if I were you I'd quickly check the disk with a HDD diagnostic tool program. The major manufacturers generally have available such a program so it would probably be a good idea for you to run it.
