I have recently built a gaming PC, (5 days ago) it was working great and everything worked fine. The one thing that wasn't working since the motherboard arrived was the BIOS, Q-Flash, Boot Menu, and System Settings buttons that show up on the splash screen.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte 970A-UD3P and I am using a AMD FX 6300 CPU, and a Radeon R9 270X GPU. With 8GB DDR3 RAM.

I have only had it a short time, and today I started it up, it reached the splash screen then went black. I reset it with the reset button, and started it again. Same thing.

So far I've tried shorting the CMOS as instructed by my motherboard's manual, removing the CMOS battery, both with the power rocker switch turned off, and both with the power cable unplugged. Still nothing.

I called up my friend, and we both can't work out what's wrong. The GPU is definitely working as it displays the splash screen, the CPU, RAM, and SSD are all working too. I can't test it without the GPU as I don't have integrated graphics, or a VGA/any port on the motherboard.

I've tried turning it off for an hour and still no luck.

If anyone can help, please say any suggestions, or answers. I really need this PC as I had to get rid of my old one (I only have a slow laptop).

When you say splash screen, is that the motherboard splash screen or windows?
Can you test the GPU on your friends machine?
What PCIe slot do you have the GPU plugged into?
How is the GPU hooked up to the PSU?
What model PSU?

You can't access the bios? What port do you have the keyboard plugged into? It should be in a regular USB 2.0 (black PCB) port.

If the keyboard is working and you still can't access the bios, send that motherboard back ASAP.

Display output on the system startup only means the GPU is working at it's most basic level, plenty can go wrong as things start to initialize.

The splash screen is the motherboard splash screen. Windows won't boot.
I've tested the GPU, it works fine. It's plugged into the main PCI-E 16 slot.
The GPU is connected by 2 6-pin cables to the PSU. The PSU is a Corsair CX 750.

The keyboard is plugged into the USB 2.0 port, and I can use the keyboard, but when the motherboard arrived it couldn't access Bios or any splash screen controls.

If the keyboard is working and you still can't access the bios, send that motherboard back ASAP.
^^ That's exactly what is happening, so I'm requesting to send it back to Aria for checking/replacement.
