I added more ram to my computer now it crashes. I have 4 4 GB sticks of Crucial Ballistix sport DDR3 1600MHz Latency 9. My motherboard is a Asus M5A97 LE R2.0. when i put 2 sticks in it works just fine. I tried 3 in it once but had some problems and when i put 4 in my computer makes a buzzing noise, blue screens, and reboots. I thinks one of my ram sockets could be broken but i don't know how to test that. any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

You can find out if a slot is bad by trying 1 stick at a time in each slot. (use a working stick of ram) You can do a similar test to see if each stick works individually. If 1 does not work then you know it is bad and it came doa. If all tests work out good try taking out the cmos battery on the mobo and leave it out for 10 min then try with all ram sticks in.

I am using the AMD FX 4350. Two of my memory sticks were purchased previously but together, and two were purchased recently together. I will test my sockets
