Xbox One PC controller not working in most games

Xbox One PC controller

After installing the drivers for the controller it connects and remains connected (the Xbox symbol light remains on), but the controller only works in specific games (Dishonored, Batman Arkham City, Batman Arkham Origins) and the steam big picture mode will work fine with the controller. But there is no response from any other game (saints row 4/3, just cause, metro last light)I have tried in my steam library. Any suggestions as to what is wrong with my controller?

Which USB is it plugged into? If you haven't tried the other USB controller (2.0/3.0) please try that and see if the problem persists. Have you checked you have all the latest usb drivers and windows updates?

No problem. That indicates the issue is with the 3rd party usb chip on your mobo. I would send an email to Asus support and ask them if they have any drivers they can send you to resolve the issue.

I also have issues using my usb3.0 front panel with xbox one controllers. Although only when two are plugged in at once. Weird.
