Can I use manufacturer recovery disc on a new hard drive?

Hello, I was wondering if I could use the recovery disc I got from the manufacturer of my pc on a new hard drive with same size. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

If you can transfer the recovery partition to your new hdd and make it active then you can try a factory install. The OEM OS is tied to the original mobo, not the hdd. This link shows how to make the transfer in case you don't know how to do it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mjn7d6wXcvA
