Here is current config. I will be reusing my existing storage so I dont need an upgrade on that. I also have 3 1080p monitors and 2 of them are 21 inch and one is 27 inch, should I get a 4k monitor or get all 27 inch?
I mostly care about preformance, I dont really even need a case, I love building things so why not a case.
Also the stuff I do benefits from AMD GPUs

Despite me living in the US my aunt who lives in Europe is paying for this.

What is your budget because that is a lot more then $1800, I would say a single 4k would be better but again still I think a single 1440p monitor would be a better choice as even highend rigs can't do 4k very well.

Do a partpicker uk build and post it to get the pricing right. eg

I really dont think you will need an X99 board if this is just for gaming. I put a titan black in here because the titan X isn't on pcpartpicker yet but by the looks really good for this and I would say that it would be a better pick up then the 295x2 which is a hugely worse power effiecent card.

Do you really need 16gb RAM? Like will you even ever use 8? Firstly that would save you money.
I've read online that the graphics card you're using, creates tonnes of heat despite having it's own cooling. It's alot worse than other cards in it's league. I suggest 2 GTX 980's instead SLI.
Case - Corsair 900D, considering you have the budget for it and it's an amazing case.
As Gracodana, go for the Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO ATX LGA1150 Motherboard.

I would say that it would be fine getting 16gb, star citizen is going to need it and I would imagine the witcher 3 and GTA V would benefit as well. I really don't like recommending the 295x2 as it's just so ineffecient in power and heat.

Nobody needs really any more than 8GB let's be realistic :p

My busget is in british pounds and the exchange rate is $2640.30. Also I dont really care about power efficiency and I have done my research and I am fine with the r9 295x2.
I guess I only need 8gb, but I have 32GB of DDR3 that I can reuse half from my current build.

What if they are hosting a minecraft server for friends to play on running mods and also playing on that server? That uses more than 8Gb.

What if the "Stuff" that is benefiting from his AMD GPU's will also benefit from the extra ram.

Not everyone needs more than 8Gb. But that number certainly isnt 0.

Also, check out the new benchmarks on the articles page for the titan X. That has the stats of all the high end cards currently available. Should help you decide on the GPU you want.

Admirable
8GB of RAM is almost at its dead zone, time to move on to a new generation. I use 4GB while my computer is idle, doing absolutely nothing. When I play any of the newer game, my minimum used RAM is 7.5GB and maximum is 14GB. That is just from one game, background programs, other apps like Steam, Origin, monitoring programs.

Let me be more clear here.
1. I need the 16GB of RAM
2. I have some extra DDR3 to use so I can leave it out if I don't go X99
3. I am buying from a US store, but Aunt from Europe is purchasing.
4. I am fine with the r9 295x2 and I benefit from AMD cards in certain applications that I use.
5. I don't mind building my own case if it means that I can get more powerful parts within budget.

I don't really like recommending the 295x2 considering heat output and energy requirements but if the programs you use are better with it then it really is the best choice for you.

Yup, I learned that I cannot run without a pagefile anymore, with 8gb. My next build, I will probably go 16gb.

I would go with 4790k, and reuse your current ram. 2x R9 295x2 is not a good idea. Quad CF does not scale very well. I would recommend going with 3x GTX 980 instead. SLI and CF both do not scale well past 3x. Won't need that expensive 1600w PSU then either.

Not when they are not buying 16gb of DDR4 @ $250, and reusing the DDR3 they already have. ;)

X99 motherboard and ram in the OP. Not to mention the fact that the 4790k is also cheaper than a 5820k. Microcenter prices are in store only, so I didn't give the 4790k MC price, which is like $279.99, I believe.

Missed that part. Not sure the 290x is worth the added cost, vs a 290, though. Triple 290 or 290x, or wait for the 3xx series makes sense.

I know the power supply is overkill, but just incase he/she wants to SLI. :)

16GB is quite a bit though haha. I have the pagefile error with 8GB as well.
