I am running windows 7-64 bit, and my computer keeps turning off. The tower lights go blank, led's turn off, everything goes black. It doesn't go through shut down process. Here are specs:

Processor: AMD FX(tm)-6300 Six-Core Proecessor 3.50 GHz
RAM: 8gb (ballistix or something)
HD: 1TB
Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series

If you need other components, let me know and I can post.

I am fairly certain that it is my PSU (which I bought around a year ago, it's a corsair CX 600), but before I buy a new one I want to make sure that is it. I have also seen things like usb keyboards causing this.

Thank you

I should have noted, I can use my computer for hours on end sometimes, but other times it will power up, then a few minutes after it will just shut off. Will this cause a false negative on the breadboarding test?

For the time being forget about those steps, lets monitor your temps while using your system, use HWMonitor Pro or AIDA64 with their log feature enabled so you can review the data after/if it shuts down on it's own.

Have you noticed if there's any relation with the usage and the unexpected shut downs? say it tends to happen more often after playing a demanding game or running an intensive application?
