The point of broadband is so that multiple devices can use it simultaneously, so yes you can do this.
You will need the modem from the cable company, and a wifi router. The cable installer will setup your modem. From there, you will plug in the router to the modem via an Ethernet cable (usually supplied with the router). The router will then provide the WiFi signal, and additional ports that you can plug devices into.
What you are technically doing is connecting your modem to a local area network (LAN) when you plug it into the router.
