Mixing two Ram with different timings and size

The first Picture are my memory specs,n the second one is my friends memory specs.I want to mix my RAM with my friend's Ram which he is going to give me.Everything is the same except the size and timings..

you probably don't have the ram installed in the correct slot or the ram is not duel channel

There are 4 pictures that I've uploaded the first two is the specs of my ram and the other two is my friends ram specs i want to mix those ram ...will i b able to do so??

i can't remember off the top of my head if it will work in duel channel but it wil definitely work in single channel

Some said it will run in flex mode..remember,everything is the same except the timings and the size

You could just try installing the 2gb ram stick and see if it will run dual channel, just be sure the you install it in the correct slot on the mobo.
If it doesn't run in dual channel mode it wont really matter for gaming and general use, but the increase in ram amount will increase overall system performance.
