Hi guys,
I am using vbe7 to modify my Powercolor R9 270x PCS+ card's bios.(Stock core and memory 1100/1425)
Overclocked Core and Memory clocks are now set as default clocks. (Core at 1150, Memory at 1500)
I am happy.

However, my card hits only 65c after hours of gaming and so I know there is load of thermal headroom for me to overclock further.
My card won't allow me to overclock any further than what I have achieved now.
Put any further and the driver crashes.

So I thought may be if I overvolt my card in the bios, I will be able to overclock more.
My stock volt is 1206mV. I raised it by 6mV. Flashed the new bios to card. PC boots great. But when I open a 3D application, the PC crashes with grey lines on screen.

I dig deep into the issue and found this on litecoin talk.
t says
"OK, this card has a different VRM that VBE7 believe it has. VBE7 shows CHL822x VRM for the card, but Gigabyte used a newer incarnation of the this VRM chip, it is called IR3567A. The reason why the name of the VRM chip was completely changed is, that the company who designed the original CHL822x (Chil Semiconductor) was aquired by another chip maker, International Rectifier back in 2011. IR redesigned the chip a little bit and now they selling it under IR3567A name. Anyway, the VRM codes changed also, so the VBE7 is useless for these cards."

VBE7 shows the vrm of my card as CHL822x, exactly the same as above.
So, I guess I am having the similar issue as above.
Is there any other way around for me to change the VDDC of my card?
I heard tweaking the bios rom with hex editor enables the overvolting.
But I am so very unfamiliar with hex editing.

Can someone please help me with it?
Can someone please edit the hex of my rom with +10mV?
This is my powercolor R9 270x PCS+ stock rom

Thank you so so so very much in advance.

Solution
Ok, that makes sense, however I am unsure of how safe it is to be messing around with VRMs, I think you are best off keeping it where it is. If the card does not normally support it, I do not think it will take kindly to such a change.

MSI AB.
My card is voltage locked so I cannot overvolt with AB.
That's why I was trying VBE7 to overvolt.

I enabled the voltage unlock on AB, Robert.
Sadly, AB can't unlock the voltage of my card.
That is why I was looking for other ways around like VBE7 and Hex editor to unlock and increase it.

I see, Robert.
Guess I will just get myself a R9 390x when it's out. :D
Thanks for your time answering my question.
I appreciate it!
Cheers!
