XPS DELL 64 bit cannot read Matshita DVD-CD+RW uj8b1

Device Mnager says this device is working properly and has the best drover installed but this CD-DVD will not access any disk i insert and the message is "please insrt a disk in the drive"

Sounds like the lens of your optical reader is dirty. Here is a youtube video of how to clean one. Though your drive might be a little different the same manner is used for any lens that you can't clean by sticking a cotton swab in the front and reaching the lens.

I may be that the disk is not seating properly then. It is also possible that you have a bad connection either to the reader or the the board, or a bad cable. If you have another reader then try using it long enough to see if your device may have a failure in another part that is stopping it from reading the disk.
