is 80c on a 970 to high? my bottom card usually stays at about 65c
but my top card hits 80 while gaming, highest being 82 should i be worried?
i already have my fan curve set to hit 100% once temps get to 80.
I assume that you have two card in SLI. The 80 C on the top card is high , but not fatal. The only thing you can do is to increase the cooling in the case (or remove a card). What is the configuration of your case?
well right now my case is a corsair c70.i have two fans in the front as intake, and the two on the top and one at the rear
are exhaust.my side window is modded so i can't put any fans on the side.kinda regret it now lol
I got 970 from gigabyte in single config and in gaming it barely touches 35 C.I think that it is an airflow problem and not the sli configuration. From which manifacture is your card made by?

Is your room hot? Is the 970 caked with dust? Does your front panel have a filter? Is it caked with dust blocking the intake fans?

I would try lowering the clock and voltage a bit and see if the temps improve.

na these 970's are band new, maybe about a week old.and i always keep my case nice and tidy.
cable managment isnt a issue either.the temp in my room is probably about 75 degrees.
