Hi, im trying to install the sims and a few other games on my pc and they do not work, I have figured out this is down to my video graphics card not being very good. Can anyone tell me if and how i replace this video card please? Not sure if its just best investing in a new PC. Thanks, my pc specs are:

Yes, probably. The G33 was a motherboard chipset that had a graphics function, memory controller and PCI-E bus.

So your motherboard should have at least one PCI-E x16 slot (at the old PCI-E 1.1 standard). I assume you don't already have any other PCI-E based expansion cards using up that slot?

But also check the power supply and physical space in the box before you buy anything.

Thanks for your reply, no I don't have any other PCI-E based expansion cards using up that slot. Its quite an old computer is it worth my while looking into a dedicated card not sure what these things cost? :)

No, this is not true.
The E6850 doesn't have integrated video. The video function was from the motherboard chipset, not the CPU.
But it doesn't change anything. It can't be removed or improved. But it can be turned off in preference for using a new card in a PCI-E slot.

To the OP, check the slots on the motherboard. Just because a chipset can support PCI-E x16, doesn't mean the motherboard has to have one.
