Hello there, I'm the owner of a laptop Toshiba Qosmio and have been since 2011. Up until this past year it has been running rather smoothly. As of this month there have been days where I'm crashing back to back, that or my screen goes black while my computer is still running yet it's unresponsive. Blue screens are naturally a part of the mix.

Yesterday I performed a clean boot while in Safe Mode, trying to find out the problem. I disabled all non-microsoft services (except for Steam since I tend to game with that platform) and it seemed to have fixed the problem.

This morning however it resumed after fourty five minutes of smooth running. At first I couldn't even get to my wallpaper it was crashing so often. I also wrote down the BSOD codes.

The first and most prominent was IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Bug check code 0x00000000a

The second most prominent was BAD_POOL_HEADER. Bug Check Code: 0x0000000019

After installing BlueScreenView, the problem seems to be primarily ntoskrnl.exe. I've looked across the net trying to find someone in my similiar situation having this problem yet I haven't found them yet.

Please, I can't afford a new computer at the moment and I still feel that this laptop can still perform well. If you require anymore information, please ask and if possible also recommend a method I can properly upload it.

Third party programs often show updates that may not work with your specific setup. That is why you should get your updates from your board or system maker as they are fine tuned to work with your particular PC. Turn off your wallpaper until you can fix the problems as some of them have been know to cause issues just like some AV's have been know to cause some of the errors you see. The only way to be certain would be to have one of the experts read your dump files.

The sevenforums are pretty good at reading them if nobody here on Tom's chimes in.

Return settings to stock speeds if you have OC'ed anything. Try running SFC...

Try checking for new video drivers for your system at Toshiba. Also check for any other updated drivers there as well. Check your admin logs to see if the BSOD's are pointing to any specific device. That may help narrow the search down some.

I'll try that, though I do use Driver Booster, is that not effective in maintaining my drivers? Also, through BlueScreenView the villain in this drama of my seems to be the ntskrnl.dll. It's the only thing that shows up in the recent string of BSODs. Whether it's related to the sudden blackouts, restarts, or hard hangs I'm not certain.

Return settings to stock speeds if you have OC'ed anything. Try running SFC /scannow to check for errors with your system files. Run memtest86 for at least 6 passes to check your ram for errors. http://www.memtest86.com/ Do each thing and the list of possibles can be narrowed down enough to find the culprit(s).
