Need advise to upgrade pc for gaming@1080p/high or ultra

My current specs:
Cpu: Amd phenom II 555 black edition @3.9Ghz OC''d [cpu frequency-211, multiplier-x18.5, voltage-default]
Cpu cooler: Cooler master hyper 212 plus
Gpu: Msi R6850 cyclone powe edition II @950/1175 [voltage-default]
Gpu cooler{Moded}; Corsair H55 liquid cooler
Ram: Corsair value select 4gb@1600
Motherboard: Asus M5A78 lt m le
Case: Cooler master HAF 922

My planning is to upgrade my pc for current games {like watch dogs, battle field, far cry 4 etc.@1080p on high/ultra setting & for furture proof also.

Which configuration will be better for me:

-Current specs with HD7950 & Corsair vengeance 8gb
-Amd 8350+Asus M5A 990fx + Corsair vengeance 8gb pro with current GPU.

& i cant manage all together Amd 8350+Asus M5A 990fx + Corsair vengeance 8gb+HD7950.

Right now I can only manage HD7950 + Corsair vengeance 8gb or Amd 8350+Asus M5A 990fx + Corsair vengeance 8gb.

Your GPU is good.

you can upgrade,
Amd 8350+Asus M5A 990fx + Corsair vengeance 8gb pro with current GPU.

you can play the games that you have mentioned, at almost High settings.

if you upgrade the GPU only to 7950. your CPU wont allow you to get the best experience.
make sure the PSU is good for upgrade. what is your PSU?

One more question, which would be better for gaming or for future proof between AMD fx8350 & Intel i5 4690k?

its just like Intel vs AMD.
if you like AMD you can buy AMD fx8350 and 990fx mobo.
you are Ok with Intel, of course you can buy i5 4690 processor and z97 or h97 mobo according to your budget.
also Intel i5 will be more power efficient and sure it will be future proof.
