the intel heat sink fan contains TIM
preapplied
so if i huv to remove it,i huv just started installation,so i havent switched on the pc yet..
so cn i remove the intel heat fan, without affecting the preapplied TIM??
As the others have stated. If the TIM on the heat sink comes into contact with the processor and is then removed. You have no choice. You MUST clean both surfaces and re-apply thermal compound/grease. Otherwise you risk damaging your components.
I HUV JUST ATTACHED IT AND i need to check the fto of the processor so i cnt remove it,i just nw attached it, havent turned it on yet,so?
cnt i remove n note the no. n reattach?
If you attached the heatsink for any reason, and remove it, you need to clean and replace the heat sink grease. Doesn't matter if it's never been turned on.
