That seems like a good value build really, that's a very healthy budget, you can expect to play any game currently out at 1080p with high/very high settings at 60fps (Limited by your monitor). You can of course look at a R9 290X as long as you're not thinking of overclocking, the 970 is better oc'd than the 290X but the 290X generally performs better out the box, a 290X can be had for £240 on overclockers (on offer), otherwise around £250. Avoid the reference cooler!
