I have a PC and a Laptop. Can I have different settings on steam games?

So what i am asking is if i have dayz on my pc and it runs ultra settings but then i have to go on the move so i use my laptop that needs lesser settings to run so i wanted to know if there was a way to have a set video setting for games on both my pc and laptop?

so i use my pc and it is in ultra settings
then i use my laptop and instead of having ultra settings, ill have the optimised settings for my laptop

I don't know about dayz specifically, but all of my steam games have different settings for my desktop and laptop. I've never had an issue. I run high settings/high resolution on my desktop and medium on my laptop. Just set your preferences on each machine and they should just work.

Game configuration settings are not stored on Steam, so you shouldn't have any trouble keeping separate settings on different computers.
