After unplugging and plugging again my 4TB Seagate external Hard Disk a message saying "You need to Format Disk in Drive G: before you can use it " ofcourse I canceled it and soon after it tells me "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)" is there a way to access back my data-- its very important and goes back to 10 years of my life...(I manage to keep some back ups) but there are still recent data on the same drive...Could anyone help me make the hard drive back operational with all the data it had??

So there was still HDD activity when you unplug it, next time, if you are not sure, turn the computer off. then unplug it.

At this point. stop everything. and ask yourselves how important is the data?
Important enough to pay pro to get it back or you could do it yourselves and might lose some/all the data.

i did recover it once last year - but it was a long process- it took me almost two weeks with a recovery tool that did not get everything... what do you recommend as a best tool- that i can leave it recovering my data with not interruptions- since last recovery i had to go through the same files for more than 10 times.......

I will take your suggestion and switch of my computer next time-- i was talking to my friends to do so and avoid any such trouble.. For next time---- However if you know of best recovery tool without any hick ups i will be happy to use it ....
