I am currently building a gaming PC and I've had my eye on this card for a while. Has anyone had any experience with the card? And if so, would you recommend it? Also, what other non-reference 980s should I be looking at? My build specs are below. With the release of the Titan X, would I be better off just getting one of those?

i7-5930k
16gb Mushkin Redline 2800Mhz
Corsair 750d
Asus Rampage V Extreme
Swiftech h240x Water cooler

Depends on how hard you plan to overclock it. That is really what it is for and sort of justifies the extra 80 or 90 bucks.

Titan X will cost you a little more, but overall get you more performance. And then you can overclock it.

Like the previous Titan I'm not sure there are going to be any non-reference cards. Not sure if anyone has made water blocks yet either. (assuming you plan on water cooling)

I think at the $800 price point and my lack of OC knowledge i might be better off going with the Titan X. How difficult is OCing? What kind of performance could i be expecting with a Kingpin 980 on 1440p playing AAA games?
