It sounds to me as if you are downloading an update to Office rather than the program itself. Try downloading from: http://www.microsoft.com/office/downloads/ (You will, of course, need a valid Product Key for Office 2007, but I'm sure you wouldn't be asking if you didn't have that.)

No, I don't have a product key. Is there anyway, I can get one or install without it.

Like I said, that's an update for an installed Office, which is why it's a free update that doesn't require any proof of purchase; it won't install a new copy. Go to the download site I linked to and enter your Product Key when prompted.

You are right, how about a trial version, which I can install without a product key

Where are you downloading this from? Currently, Microsoft requires a product key to download Office 2007.

Or, you could just use OpenOffice.org, or LibreOffice.

I'm not sure that there is a trial version available any longer as it is rather an old program. There is a trial of the latest version of Office, but that requires Windows 7 or above. Bear in mind that Microsoft don't support XP any longer so I don't suppose they bother to provide trial versions of programs to run on it.

USAFRet's suggestion to use OpenOffice is probably your best bet.

https://2acc1-downloads.phpnuke.org/en/c63172/microsoft-office-professional-2007

It shows a trial version, but not sure I will be able to use without a product key.

You will need a license key.
And if you think that phpnuke link is in anyway 'valid'...you need to reevaluate.

OpenOffice or LibreOffice.
MS Office 2007 offers no real benefit over those options.

So my only option is to purchase it I think, because, I work with another transcription software and it requires msword. Is there any other way I can install Msword on xp urgently before i purchase

Try one of the free option2 mentioned above. It might work.
OpenOffice or LibreOffice. They are mostly compatible.

But if it 'requires' Word 2007, your only option is to buy it.
