Hello,

I see a lot of previous posts regarding Computer specs for FSX but i'am really confused . I am thinking about buying a PC with Configuration

Intel i7 4790k Processor
ASUS Z97-PRO (Wi-Fi ac) Motherboard
ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 2GB Graphics Card
Samsung 840 EVO 120 GB Desktop Internal Hard Drive ( For Fsx)
Seagate Barracuda 1 TB Desktop Internal Hard Drive( For OS)
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 4 GB (2 x 4 GB)
Corsair H80i Cooler

Please suggest will this specs be sufficient to handle PMDG 777 & Addon scenery with High Setting ?

Thankyou :)

Those specs should be able to handle most things that you throw at it including FSX, but I do think that you should go for 16Gb of RAM instead of just the 8, because it gives you the easy capability to upgrade up to 32Gb in the future instead of just 24Gb, and I just like having the extra RAM in your computer to use and be safe. Also, I would probably tell you to get something a little better than the GTX 760, because you might need a little more power than it can offer to run high setting smoothly with FSX. Lastly, if you really wanted to you, you could also go for a bigger SSD so you can fit other things on it you want to be able to access quickly, but both of these are just suggestions. A computer with those specs should do fine...

Oh, I read that too fast, I thought it said 960. Yeah, I would probably get something a little better than just the 760 for FSX if you are going for high settings.

FSX does not respond according to hardware configurations typical of "gaming" rigs. FSX is instead a "simulation" which is on the extreme CPU end of the CPU / GPU performance spectrum.

FSX is very CPU intensive, is multithreaded, and benefits from overclocking and hyperthreading. I strongly recommend a cooling solution better than the H80i to facilitate the highest possible overclock, since frame rate scales very closely to clock rate.

As has already been recommended, the GTX 960 is a good choice. FSX runs best on nVidia graphics. A mid-range card is more than adequate since FSX is not GPU intensive, is only DX10, and does not yield better frame rates with high-end cards or SLI / CF configurations.

@MisterSprinkles : Keeping your suggestions in mind i have changed my Mobo to Asus Z97-A and upgraded GPU to Zotac GeForce GTX 780 3GB
Can you please help in determing PSU ? 400W will be enough or should i go for 650W ?

I looked around, but the best he could do with 350$ is get a 280. But those are still expensive. I do not think a 970 is in his budget, unless he gets from a US dealer, and has it shipped to him

Guys after various calling , checking web finally i bought "ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 3 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card "
so i have two questions .
1) will there be any compatibility issue with the above processor , mobo , ram ?
2) What watt PSU should i buy ? i have 400W will it be sufficient ?
