Using stock cooler, first time building a computer, I don't think I put it on wrong? Using carbide air 540 case with 4 case fans. Gtx 970 36 c @ idle. Mainly concerned with my i7, my bios is showing it constantly clocked at 4.4 ghz, but that should only be turbo ?!!?! And is v-core fine, I'm total noob to all of this.

http://imgur.com/LyyRBtW - ignore the fan speeds I kinda screwed around with them and ultimately changed settings back to default.

showing v-core,frequency and all that of cpu: http://imgur.com/FEgiqOt

why is it stuck @ 4.4?? and how can I make it run cooler without buying aftermarket cooler just yet?

How do you know it's stuck at 4.4 GHz? Have you used the Intel Extreme tuning utility and monitored it?

I say run the intel XTU stress test and see what the temps get to.

80C on a stock cooler under load is perfectly normal/safe.

download hw monitor and it will show you everything, from voltage to fan speeds to cpu freq and more. 4.4 is max on turbo so if you didnt mess with bios you should be ok, I saw you are on auto on all settings then you are ok. 80 degrees on stock cooler is ok but ill invest in cooler master evo which is like $30 or if you have money then get corsair h100 or similar then you will be in high 40s when gaming. Hope that helps.
