Can a DDR2 GPU x16 PCI-Express slot fit a GDDR3 or GDDR5?

I really need a new GPU wih atleast 256MB memory, my current one is a Gigabyte NVIDIA GeForce 6200 Turbo Cache with 128MB memory. Are the GeForce 6500 or 6200 available in the market? Also, can my PC support a GDDR3 or GDDR5 GPU, like can it fit in? To add to that I have 2x Kingston DDR2 and x1 500MB DDR2 cheap brand RAM. Please help :D

Not necessarily. A lot of older non-UEFI motherboards won't recognize newer UEFI graphics cards, despite the fact that the PCIe slots are compatible with the card. For a board that old, 8 or 9 years, I'd stick to HD series AMD or older 7xx or 6xx series Nvidia cards.

Australia, and I don't think that my computer is worth upgrading. I'll just wait 'till I finish high school, work my arse of, scrape some cash and maybe buy a new computer if I'm still into games :) thanks for the answers peeps!
