Hi. I actually have an i5 4460 @3.2Ghz
G-Skill 8GB drr3 ram @1333
an Asus GTX 970 strix
an a Seasonic S12ii 620W
I wanted to know if i have room for overclocking? if yes by how much will i be able to overclock my GPU core clock and memory clock?

the seasonic 620 g is a very high quality unit with more than enough headroom to overclock any cpu and single gpu known.

if you are on a single 1080p monitor dont worry about overclocking the memory too much on the 970. just overclock the core. i think most are able to get to 1450mhz on the 970s. since its a silicon lottery there is on way of knowing for sure though.

I also don't think that Maxwell cards will allow you to overclock beyond safe limits, so you probably don't need to worry too much about that. Just keep an eye on temps at first to make sure your case cooling is giving the GPU cooler what it needs because they CAN be overheated.

yeah maxwell is just like kepler, it has a limited power target percentage, a temp priority setting, and a stock vcore limit. not to mention the asus strix is still using the same old digi+ asp1212 hardware locked voltage controller so the core will never reach dangerous levels. it will always be voltage starved even with a modified bios to attempt to get past the power target limit and temp limits.
