So I know I have been asking the community ALOT of questions lately regarding a good streaming computer/gaming computer for a 800$ US budget that will get me mid-high settings with good frames while playing league of legends, runescape, csgo. Also would run dual monitors and not drop frames/lag! So boys thanks to so many amazing guys and girls on this website I have my final build picked out!! :D

Ill be gaming and streaming so i want the better CPU and Graphics card. And no Offense but you downgraded the whole computer and still at a higher budget... So kinda gonna stick with what i have :D

Your build would be better if i was OC which i have no intensions on doing at all. Also i can always upgrade my video card down the line if i feel it is needed because the only thing you changed was upgrading the video card downgrading the CPU and took out the boot drive..... So i mean Gonna stick with the upgrade on the CPU the Video card i can always upgrade down the line if i feel it is necessary ;)

See i wanna keep the better CPU though i was told with streaming and gaming ect this set up would be the best for mid-high settings while playing those games i have listed

any stock i5 and gtx 970 will play any game ultra settings 60 fps average 1080p

Xeon + lower gpu performance= lower settings, for gaming the gpu is by far way more important

Streaming both the i5/ Xeon are almost identical

The only time ever when the Xeon would be better choice is if you have multiple programs running at once, in which case more ram would be better.

I edited the build put the better graphics card in but removed the boot drive? Should i just get over it spend the extra 50 bucks and get a boot drive or is it not worth it?

Keep the Xeon. I would not go for the R9 280X though... Try to squeeze a bit more out and get an R9 290 instead. It's a lot more future proof both in performance and features. R9 280X will support less DX12 features than even the R9 285.

That Xeon is more like an i7 then an i5 and has a greater base frequency. It is a very good choice for a non-overclocking platform.

A more direct comparison would be an R9-290/R9-290X and a GTX970 in terms of performance/price. Nothing wrong with a R9-280X, especially one with a high clock. That particular R9-280X is average at 950Mhz and is priced sort of high. There are a few R9-290 for around $250 that you might consider.
