Gaming desktop, non-brand name (the company was "CyberPowerPC") purchased about six months ago. Demanded a restart for updates. Updates seemed to download, computer started to restart. I got the brand logo screen (same as always) and then a "2.2 Terabyte Hard Drive" logo, a load bar and "Press any key to go to the boot menu." I didn't press anything, and the screen went to "No bootable device, hit any key to reset." after the load bar filled.

I tried hitting a key (spacebar, if it matters), and the computer went through the same process from brand screen to the same end. I tried manually shutting down and restarting the computer with the power button, to the same end. I tried pressing a key during the "Press key to go to boot menu" and nothing happened, ended up in the same place.

Solution
try the laptop cmos reset unplug ac remove battery press power 30 sec then plug in ac only and try to boot if that does not work ask for a rma since this laptop must be under warranty .

Let me repeat: desktop.

I did try unplugging it and plugging it back in again, with no change in results.
