Ive built my first pc from scratch and the MSI bios screen only shows the settings, temp and time. Im using a 38" visio as a monitor. When I click settings, it freezes for a bit. I tried putting in the Windows disk but on the first screen where you set up the language, my keyboard and mouse do not work. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I just tried pulling out the CMOS battery but it didn't fix the BIOS issue. I tried installing windows again but the mouse still wouldn't work. So I had the bright idea of putting the wireless usb reciever on the back of my tower instead of the front, and it worked. Should have done that in the first place. I might try more of the CMOS clear methods though to see if that will fix the other stuff.

Yeah and there are plenty on the back panel so I'm not too worried about it! I did hit another problem thought, once windows installed the screen went black and has been for about a half an hour now. Tried resetting the pc but it just went to another shade of black, kind of a gray color lol. Is that because of the gpu? I wanted to install windows before I installed anything else, so my question is, does he gpu have any functionality right out of the box, even before you install it?

Ugh, the notorious 600B. I recently went on a tirade over this PSU being recommended by editors here at THW. Yes there, are probably worse PSUs out there (like RAIDMAX/Rocketfish/Diablotek), but do understand that these are cost cutting cheaply made PSUs. The OEM is HEC/Compucase, known for mass producing junk. On the internals, they use low end Chinese capacitors that start to cause problems over 30C when they fail to filter properly. When you put it in a gaming rig like yours, you are stressing that PSU beyond what it was made for, which is simple office desktops.

tl;dr Try a higher quality PSU like an XFX, Capstone or Supernova B2/G2 (not the NEX).

^^ If that doesn't fix it, then next we look at the motherboard.
