I first started having problems with my new msi radeon r9 270x (screen spazzing out with different colors making it unable to even see the login screen, safe mode worked for some reason) and I assumed that it overheated so I am going to send that in for its warranty. I recently put back in my old GPU (a ATI Radeon HD3650) and noticed the temp of the card soared to about 80 degrees celcius when playing Counter Strike. My CPU was also high up in the range as well. It then glitched my screen out and then went black. Then a blue screen with text came up and my PC shutdown. It turned back on easily and is currently working but I have never had this problem with my old GPU. Any idea of what is causing it to heat up? I should also add that I have a new XFX TS 550W PSU. My rig is in a Dell XPS 436mt case. The included image is more current temperatures doing nothing but having TeamSpeak, chrome, and CounterStrike open (sitting in lobby in background). Thanks for any help, as it is greatly appreciated during this mini crisis I am experiencing.
