Hello friends!
I'm building a PC for game development with the Unreal Engine 4.

What do you guys think of this:
PCPartPicker part list

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($324.99 @ SuperBiiz)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.98 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($204.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($124.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($124.98 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($389.98 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card ($326.98 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT H440 (White/Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($104.50 @ Directron)
Power Supply: Corsair RM 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($126.00 @ Amazon)
Total: $1757.38

I have some questions:

1. Is there a cheaper but good alternative to the Asus MAXIMUS VII HERO mobo. I don't plan on overclocking anything, so it's probably overkill. But I like good sound :)

2. I was also wondering if I can go for a cheaper PSU with the same type of quality but lower watt. I like when the PSU regulates the fan speed to be as quiet as possible.

3. I heard stories about unstable systems when overclocking the RAM, so I went with 1600. Cool?

I'm thankful for any advice! :)

Here is the ultimate build. Very similar to what you listed but with additional cores in the CPU. This is a powerhouse build.

A much better value, while still keeping many of the things you included.

1. I think Asrock makes good motherboards. The sounds is pretty good, but you can always opt for a sound card if you want unrivaled sound quality and features. I left it as a Z motherboard so that you could overclock if you chose to down the road.

2. I went with the same PSU, just 100 watts less. You won't be using anywhere near that with your current build, and you still have room to add antoher GPU down the road.

3. Doesn't really matter from my experiences. I dropped down to 16 GB on the second build. Are you sure you need 32 GB?

Hope I helped

Wow! Thanks man! I think I will go for your ultimate build. It's just $200 bucks more than mine and I get a freaking 6 core Intel CPU!! :D
And the motherboard has the option for up to 64 gigs of RAM!

I think I'll be well off for many years to come with this. Many thanks!!
